Allow Impersonate feature on OAC
Organization Name
Postmedia
Description
Enable administrators to impersonate users on OAC both dv and "Classic Home Page".
Same feature that is available for OBIEE on-premise.
Use Case and Business Need
Use Case: User reports error; administator cannot reproduce when logged on using their own profile.
Business Need: administrators need to sign-on as impersonated users, to obtain exactly the same profile and be able to reproduce error conditions.
More details
this feature is available on OBIEE on-premise, and has proved to be very useful to triage in many incidents.

Done. Sorry, forgot to do that. We definitely want this implemented.

Giving a thumbs up on this as well. We have had to add/remove roles to/from user profiles to impersonate a specific role and conduct testing. Having this feature would automate this process.

Very highly required feature in OAC and OAS as well

Very much needed to be able to effectively resolve end-user issues.
It is also very helpful when testing new features or functionality. For instance when we add data filters to our OBIEE data based on Role or User, we would use the impersonate functionality to test as a specific user. Now we need to either change roles for our testing users or create specific test users in each role.

Much Needed. Today my client faced this issue. I found it hard to reproduce. Wish there is an easy way to Impersonate at login only.

I need to learn how to check for feedback from Oracle about "ideas" posted at the "Idea Lab"

We understand the use cases for this request, but impersonation to a different user without credentials is a security bypass that is currently not allowed on the Oracle Cloud. The OCI identity management team is aware of the request and is researching possible solutions for this use case in a reliable and secure way. However, it should be clear that the OBIEE specific ActAs functionality is not going to be enabled in OAC as it will be considered a severe security issue.
