Migrating OBIEE 12c Reports and Dashboard to Oracle Analytics Cloud, need to create a GO Url that can bypass IDCS login page and navigates the user directly to Classic (Home) Dashboard

End-user does not necessary to know the user name and password to access these reports and dashboard, just need to click on a hyperlink in a website.

In OBIEE12c (On Prem), NQUser and NQPassword seeded within the URL that enables the user to navigate directly to the dashboard, and working fine. Now we need to replicate the same in OAC.

Use Case and Business Need

Any public sector organization publishes its Operating and Capital Budget, and Expenditures every year, and the public accesses the interactive dashboards via the website. Any user who accesses the website should be able to navigate to dashboards without passing credentials.

We are also using "automatic" addition to "login" parameters (&NQUser + &NQPassword) into URL for our current "publicly" exposed OBIEE dashboards (using OBIEE 12c - see for example: https://www.cnb.cz/cnb/obiee_dek_uc_bilance ).

If this option (or similar straightforward and simple concept allowing public access to Oracle Analytics content - meaning for Dashboards/Analysis and also for DV project as well) will not be available in OAC , then there is no way to migrate from on-premise sw (OBIEE12c or OAS) to OAC.

Yes, OAC - Oracle Support confirmed that there is no fix available for GO URL, and Product Management confirmed that NQUser and NQPassword features are deprecated in OAC. Also, there is no workaround at the moment, we may need to wait for enhancement.

There is an option to create a Confidential application, and pass the Token for DV Project for Public Access, but not for Classic Dashboards that are Lift and Shifted from On-Prem to OAC.

The solution given in the link works only for DV projects, not for the reports/dashboard that are lift and shifted from On Prem OBIEE, and who wants to use classic dashboard.

In Banco de la República, the central bank of Colombia, we currently have around 4000 clasical reports and Dashboards generated in OBIEE 12, many of which are exposed to the general public. We need the option to publish these reports in OAC (Oracle Analytics Cloud) to uphold our image and keep the community informed, now leveraging the cloud with a PaaS (Platform as a Service) solution. 31-Jul-2023
