splitting database or warehousing

Hi all,

First of all apologies, if its not the relevant forum to ask the question.

We have oracle ebs r12.1.3 with database 11.1.0.7. Our management needs to know our options, incase we have data for around 15 years and we want a split in our data i.e., we want to keep data for current 5 years and would like to have older data archived to another place or database each year at a particular month. how could we accomplish this ?

What would be the tool / technology used in this case and what would be reporting techniques on the archived data / database.

Your question would probably be better posed in the forum. There are options out there for archiving old data in an EBS environment (you can find some with a simple search on MOS) however none are foolproof and complete. Are you EU based? If so then it would be worth investigating your obligations of GDPR before undertaking the project, as that might steer you in one direction or another.
