The ask is to set default value sin the prompt. For example, there's a prompt of Year and based on result of Sql query, it should auto populate the current year.

Use Case and Business Need

It reduces users time on the dashboard if we can prefill the prompts dynamically. Also, user need not worry what defaults to set while accessing the visual.

Easier business adoption when filters are cleverly defaulted. It also reduces the number of unnecessary queries to the database with filter options that the user is not interested in, before she has made her filter choices.
