Rob,

You are correct - in addition to supporting hierarchies in Semantic Modeler, they would be useful if users could define them during dataset authoring in DV. That is the feature that is under review.

Any updates on this? This would also be necessary to use time intelligence functions in self service, since they need a date hierarchy.

We continue to make progress on the infrastructure required to make defining hierarchies in the Dataset Editor possible. But we don't have any estimated time to deliver this feature yet.
