Merge multiple connection with same name on OAC

Organization Name (Required - If you are an Oracle Partner, please provide the organization you are logging the idea on behalf of):
ORACLE (BMCDW)
Description (Required):
OAC uses connections to query data from ADW. Some connections are public and managed by Horizon Team. To manage these connection horizon uses horizon-managed-ADW user "horizon_oac".
We need to merge these connection into one(because they are redundant). Different teams uses one of these connections. As all these connections have same connection_name, we are not able to determine which connection is being used in which dataset,or not at all in use. So we cannot just delete the connection.
As suggested in SR with OAC , we have tried DV Governance plugin, but DV Governance plugin is also not able to distinguish between different connection with same name.
Also we if any user imports a dashboard a new connection gets created ,with that user as owner, with same name.
Issue:
- No option is available to merge the connections.
- No option is there to find which connection is being used in which dataset.
Required:
- A way to find which connection is being used by which dataset.
- A way to merge duplicate connection with same name.
Use Case and Business Need (Required):
Creating issue in importing dashboards which are using public connections.
OAC managing team is not able to merge duplicate connection(just owner name is different).
OAC managing team is not able to figure out thw connection is being used or not.(in case of duplicate connection)

Merging may be a bit difficult because of the ownership model. Agree on the general need to make it easier to sort where/if connections are being used. @Adam Bloom-Oracle
