Using BI Modeller along with OAC RPD

Description (Required):

Currently in OAC whenever we upload a data model we can't use the BI Modeller. I think for POC's BI Modeller will be more handy as compared to rpd . Parallely both the options should co exist.

Use Case and Business Need (Required):

For POCs BI Modeller comes handy as compared to the RPD .So we can use that along with RPD .

Due to the constraints in how the current OAC Data Modeler manages the RPD -- we won't allow you to use both the Client Admin tool and the Data Modeler as you could make changes which could corrupt the Data Modeler. However, we are introducing the new web based Semantic Modeler which will allow you to use all of the RPD features with much of the convenience of the current OAC Data Modeler. https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/paas/analytics-cloud/acmdg/what-is-semantic-model.html

Hi Bret ,

Is there any roadmap for OAC Data Modeler .

So with the new web based Semantic Modeler , will we be able to use both the components simultaneously .
