We use Oracle Fusion for HR and EBS for Payroll. Sometimes the city/county/zip code combinations do not exist in EBS. During the integration between these two systems, the Worker will fail to integrate if the city/county/zip code combination does not exist in EBS.

I was thinking of developing a BI report for pending workers with their addresses and validate with the existing EBS addresses, and send an email by alerting that the combination do not exist in EBS prior to the integration.

For this to work, I should be able to connect to an external database to validate the city/county/zip code combination in the table called pay_us_new_cities_v in EBS.

Use Case and Business Need

Impacts the Worker integration in coexistence of Fusion and EBS environments.

Automatic process of creating the city/county/zip code combination prior to the integration will take away the dependency or availability of an HRIS analyst.

More details

When the worker fails in EBS, we notice that the combination is missing in EBS. We have to manually create the combination and reload the worker to integrate into EBS.

Integration Errors like:

ORA-20001: You have entered a city that is invalid.

ORA-20001: You must enter a valid County for this address.

ORA-20001: The Zip code is incorrect for this address.
