Oracle BI Publisher Access to Export
Hi Dear,
Good day! I am working on a requirement for GDPR where it involves exporting of reports with Personal Identifiable Information.
Oracle BI Publisher reports enables users to view report and export reports.
The requirement for GDPR of our client states that not all roles should be able to export or download report outputs (in all formats).

There will only be one role to have FULL CONTROL on the report (running, viewing, downloading).
ALL other roles should have a DISABLED feature for DOWNLOADING or any thing that involves acquiring a copy locally of the report.
Things I have checked already:
1. Permissions of folder, report etc. All combinations have been checked but the report can still be downloaded.
2. Administrations > Security > Manage Privileges - set the Access to Export as denied for a role. But still, the report can be exported and the view report in excel format allows users to download it.
I am hoping you can help me find a way to DISABLE the export for a specific role or any that will let the user or roles to have local copy of the report. Note that they should ONLY VIEW the report.
Please see attached file for the screenshots.

Hi -
What version is this?
Is this something that can be done "behind the scenes" ... at the data row/column level? https://www.rittmanmead.com/blog/2012/03/obiee-11g-security-week-row-level-security/
Regards,
Charles

Ok, thanks for the version info. Any thoughts on the article? Do you think it could be a possibility?

It is of difference approach that is not applicable to what the client requires.
