Install Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher 12.2.1.1.0 ( Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher )

Hi

I want help to install oracle Business Intelligence Pulisher 12.2.1.1.0  in my windows 7 operating Sysem.

I have already tried below Steps:

1.Downloaded BIP  Sofware from edelivery.oracle .com

     1.1 I have downloaded the below softwares:

          Oracle Business Intelligence 12.2.1.1.0 (Contain 2 zip folders)

         Oracle Business Intelligence Developer Client Tool 12.2.1.1.0 (Contain 2 zip folders)

         Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.6.0.0 (Contain 1 zip folder)

2.unzipped  the zip folders.

I didn't know any other steps.  Please help me  to install above I mentioned Version BIP on my windows System.

Hi,

I highly doubt any 12c product (OBIEE or Publisher) is certified and supported on Windows 7. First of all because Windows 7 is ... old, and second because these are enterprise tools supposed to work on a server and not a desktop OS like Windows 7.

Most of the users (will not say all as miracles can exists) who tried to install 12c things on Windows 7 lost hours and hours and got quite poor results while it would take minutes when using a supported environment (virtualmachines exists for that reason as well).

Thanks for the response.

Actually, my primary intention is to install Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher in our LINUX server and integrate with Siebel for generating reports.

From the response I understand that Windows 7 is next to impossible for hosting BIP. However, if we can get the guidance in installing oracle Business Intelligence Publisher 12.2.1.1.0 in LINUX server, that would be really helpful for me to proceed further with Siebel Report activity.

Desktop operating systems never were, are it will be supported for Oracle Analytics 12c.

And regarding guidance for installation - what about the docunentation? Have you read that already?
