The current tools that are used to create OTBI reports are not easy to use and are antiquated.  We are asking for better report creation tools.

Use Case and Business Need

It is extremely hard to put things in the correct place based on where the system does the layout.  The report writer should be able to handle more complex layouts to match the display.  It significantly increases the effort if a change needs to be made.  (See screenshots for additional information).

It would also be helpful to have increased capabilities for creating complex graphing (see screenshots for additional information).  More formatting options for report searches setup at both dashboard and report level are needed.  It would be nice to have more options on the search display. (see screenshots).  It would also be nice to have some of the report formatting options found in Publisher available in OTBI.  We try to limit our reports to OTBI but would like the ability to have more professional looking reports without having to create data models.
