Load data in the details table, only when a specific summary row is selected from the pivot table

Organization Name (Required - If you are an Oracle Partner, please provide the organization you are logging the idea on behalf of): Deloitte
Description (Required): Load data in the details table, only when a specific summary row is selected from the pivot summary table in the BIP report (interactive layout).
Use Case and Business Need (Required): The YTD dashboard is a custom BIP report developed to report and visualize the budgets vs actuals balances comparison on a cash basis. The state needed this report to support specific business needs of cash basis reporting that the standard budget balances screen does not display.
For the above-mentioned purpose, a custom BIP report using interactive layout was built. The report has dependent/linked data sets, i.e. Parent-Child relationship between Pivot Summary Table & Details Table which have 500+ transactions. When the report is executed, it generates XML with all the data for the dependent data set and then renders the details table onto the report template, even though not all the dependent data are not displayed in the report. This degrades the performance of the report.
If Oracle provides a feature to load data onto the Details Table (dependent data sets) only when user selects a particular row from the Pivot Summary Table (Parent Data Set) then the user experience could be enhanced with interactive reporting and improve the overall performance of the report.
Enhancement Request / Service Request: SR 3-31130779761 : How to load the data in chunks on clicking BIP Interactive Pivot row to a dependent table?
