Hi Experts,

Our operating system expiring in few months i.e windows 2008 --> we wants to move windows 2012 R2 we have to install software freshly.

Our current versions in windows 2008

Oracle Business Intelligence Applications 7.9.6.4

Data Warehouse Administration Console 11g (DAC) version 11.1.1.6.4.x

MS SQL Server 2008 R2(RTM)

OBIEE 11.1.1.7.0

Could you please let me know your suggestions.

    Hi,

    OBIA 7.9.6.4 supports 11.1.1.9, you can upgrade OBIEE 7.0 to 11.1.19

    and regrading Windows

    1) upgrading to windows 2012 from 2008 on same machine? if yes, no need of fresh installation

    2)  fresh windows 2012 installation ??

          - Take a backup of all repositories(Informatica, DAC,OBIEE(catalog, RPD and Config file) and a do a installation of Informatica and DAC,OBIEE 11.1.1.9 and restore the Repositories.

    Regards,
