How to setup proxy server for DVD?

Hi Experts,

Since Google related services were blocked by ISP, DV desktop cannot access Google Map for the Heat map visualization. Anyone has setup a proxy server for the DV Desktop before?

PS: I have HTTP proxy server that connect to Google without problem by web browser, yet DV Desktop seems didn't us the system proxy.

Based on the filename there are chances it's this kind of thing: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_Proxy_Auto-Discovery_Protocol

So google will easily give you examples for a WPAD file.

I set up a proxy server by pointing the IP address and Port number in the Browser. And could show me a sample formation how to compose a proxy data file? Thanks again.

1) Save the proxy dat file as a local file (e.g c:	emp\wpad_dat.dat).

2) Start DV Desktop with the following parameter:

C:\Program Files\Oracle Data Visualization Desktop>dvdesktop.exe --proxy-pac-url="file:///C:/temp/wpad_dat.dat"
