Summary
How can I schedule a burst in BI Publisher for an email to include an attachment in Excel format and not receive a warning when opening the attachment?
Content
In BI Publisher when I set my bursting definition to 'EXCEL' as the 'OUTPUT_FORMAT' and my Report Output Format includes 'Excel (mhtml)' the email appears to include an Excel attachment. However, when I open the attachment the following message is displayed:
"The file format and extension of '<filename>.xls' don't match. The file could be
corrupted or unsafe. Unless you trust its source, don't open it. Do you want to open
it anyway?"
How can I schedule a burst in BI Publisher for an email to include an attachment in Excel format and not receive the message above when I open the attachment?

use output type as Excel (*.xlsx) and you will not get that message . The purpose of using Excel (mhtml) is to support previous version
Excel (MHTML) - select this output type to view the report in Excel if you have Microsoft Excel 2003. This option generates an MHTML format file that can be opened in Excel 2003 or later. This option supports embedded images, such as charts and logos
Hope this helps ..
