Summary

Issue with update Request in BI publisher Catalog Web Service

Content

We are using updateObject request under belowwebservice to update a data model

https://<>/xmlpserver/services/v2/CatalogService?wsdl

We are getting "true" response when we run request, but when we try to open the same data model from front it it does not open. Has anyone faced similar issue?

Details: 1. Tried web service using both ".xdmz" and ".xdm.catelog" file.

2. Converting the file into base64 and then sending it in report, is there any other way that we should try?

which version of Oracle BI Publisher you are using.

is there any error message, you are getting while opening the Data model.

if possible, try to post the logs.

    Hi Satshah,

Clear the Object Cache from BI Publisher Administration Console and open the Data Model.

If it's open fine good. Other wise there many be some issue in Data Model.

we can see more details about the error message from logs.

    Thanks & Regards,
