No date format is recognized by Excel template

Hi Team,

It seems Excel templates in BI Publisher do not recognize any date format when receiving data from BI Publisher report.

We have to manually either replace '-' by '/' in all date fields or use formulas in Excel template as describe in this documentation https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/12211/bip/BIPRD/GUID-2E9599CF-7066-4181-940F-F03C09DD37B5.htm#BIPRD2781 to have this issue fixed.

A third option is create a new layout for the report, regular BI Publisher layout, and simply stop using Excel template.

So, that's it? Does anyone or Oracle has come up with a forth solution or something different for this issue?

This is causing lot of inconvenience to our users as they have to edit the output and distribute. Can someone suggest a solution? thanks, Padmaja
