Summary

custom links, skin and style in OAC

Content

In OBIEE 11g, we can apply custom links in "customlinks.xm."
(ORACLE_INSTANCE\bifoundation\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obipsn\customlinks.xml). For instance, we can have a link on home page called "Back to Customer Portal".
- Can we achieve this in OAC ? Can we create a new link on OAC BI home page which navigate to customer's home page?

- Can we implemented custom skin & style(CSS, images etc.) in OAC in similar way we do in OBIEE 11g ?

- Can we customize the PDF & Excel export formatting skin? For instance, change the font color, size in PDF output ( we use pdfstyle.fst t customize PDF output format in OBIEE 11g)

-Can we achieve Customer branding on OAC home page?

Please share your thoughts.

Regards,

Shyam.

    Shyam,

    Which "OAC"?

Classic customer-managed one? Just like in on-premises OBIEE.

Ex-autonomous Oracle-managed one? Go to the /analytics deployment -> Administration -> Manage Themes.

    Hi Chris,

We are using OAC (oracle managed). As you mentioned, Managed Themes is giving basic custom styling. As mentioned in my post, we are looking the way it is working currently in OBIEE 11g. For example, creating additional Link which points to customer website home page and renaming the button like "View Report" in place of "Result" button.

    Your help is much appreciated.

    Regards,

    Shyam.

You can't in Oracle-managed. The themes and the DV options is all you got. Period.

There is also a known bug 29757348 for this issue, Oracle is working on a solution for it in the future releases. Oracle managed changing the PDF/EXCEL parameters is not an option.
