Hi All,

We have requirement to generate Pivot tables/Charts (Pie/Bar etc.) automatically based on the Head Count Data reported using a BI Publisher report (with Excel template). Using 97-2003 Excel Workbook template type (having one sample row with Repeating Group), we are able to achieve the auto generation of these Pivots based on various categories but the requirement is to have specific colour coding of the Pivot Chart elements based on the category. However, since BIP Excel template type is of 97-2003 Excel Workbook type (.xls not .xlsx), it is assigning some auto-colours to those chart elements once we run the BIP Report. I learnt that such specific colour coding options (Design and Layout tabs i.e.) are only available in the latest versions of MS Excel. So, can you please advise on the below?

1. Is it possible to use a .xlsx template in BI Publisher currently?

2. If not, then is there any possibility of achieving specific colour coding/formatting on the Pivot Chart elements?
