Can Oracle supports the subdomain email option (using custom mailfrom)?

Summary
Can Oracle supports the subdomain email option (using custom mailfrom)?
Content
Hi,
we are getting undelivery notifications when we are using company domain email address in from email.
Ex: abcd@company.com
in Sr suggested that add oracle.com in company email domain server. we have conclusion from network team that we don't touch the SPF record of company domain email server as suggested in the SRs .
So we are trying to use email address which is subdomain of company.
Ex:Example email: infmhcm@hcm.company.com
Our network team need confirmation about below points.
• Whether Oracle supports the subdomain option (using custom mailfrom)
• Are these mails purely inbound ?
Please let us know if anyone knows about above two points.
Regards
Shashi Kiran

Hi Shashi,
Emails setup (be it at Oracle or Third party) expect to receive emails from a valid source. Valid source is determined by the below factors:
- Domain used in FROM: email address
- Sending server domain matches the domain used in FROM: address
Fusion BI Publisher from e-mail address values:
- ONLY supports "@oracle" mail domain
- the e-mail address needs to be a valid e-mail address
- Default recommendation is "bipublisher-report@oracle.com"
There is a workaround if you add an alias to the from e-mail address, e.g.:
'Company_Notifications <bipublisher-report@oracle.com>'
'abcd@companydomain.com <bipublisher-report@oracle.com>'
Best regards,
Robert
