Enable "Add/Remove Subject Area" option in Taleo OBI

Description
Enable ‘Add/Remove Subject Area’ option in Taleo OBI
Use Case and Business Need
Business Requirement
Enable ‘Add/Remove Subject Area’ option in Taleo BI Answers to facilitate cross subject area analysis of Recruiting, Recruiting Legacy and Administration subject areas.
Business Reason
Many of recruiting operations report is incomplete or not feasible as reporting option is limited to single subject area. In Taleo BI, after the analysis of 3 different subject areas (Recruiting/ Recruiting Legacy/ Administration); there has been a conclusion that if attributes from multiple subject areas can be merged more of reporting requirements can be met.
Below are some of the scenarios on the requirement for ‘Add/Remove Subject Area’ option.
There are many types of users and action in Taleo. The actions are recorded with the username. The username is in <FN LN> format. There is no unique identifier to be able to index all of this data properly. The username needs to be linked to the SSO of a person so we can build analysis around what recruiters/ sourcers/ hiring managers do in the system. Sometimes to complete a report, we need to manually lookup ARIA but there are many people with the same name in Oracle. An example would be to look at how many candidates have been mapped by a recruiter on a specific requisition vs. how many have applied, what was the time between the opening up a requisition and the first submission, what is the average number of submissions per week etc. There is a mountain of analysis which we cannot perform at this point. And then we can’t give this to the Recruiting managers because you need to have a way to figure out who the current manager is to begin with. And then who they roll into etc.
The SSO is only available in the Administration area. Taleo doesn’t have current line of reporting available (i.e., what you see on ARIA) and thus every type of analysis for any org needs to redo the hierarchical approach based on HRMS. The SSO is required for that.
Other important IDS which are available in the Administration subject area which is needed for analysis but not available in Recruiting subject area :
- "Employers"."Employer ID"
- "Institutions"."Institution ID"
- "Sources"."Source Identifier"
- "System User - Permissions"."User - User Type"
