Currently, we are unable to capture Trade Operation details through “Costing – Landed Cost Real Time’ subject area (This is the subject area we can retrieve data related to Landed Costing) just after creating the trade operation and to capture some data using this subject area users should do the Inventory Receiving and AP Invoice as well. (This is confirmed by Oracle Support)
Oracle Support Comment – “As per the design, only receipt level per unit charge amounts are exposed in Landed Cost subject area in OTBI. Without receipts, landed cost charges gets allocated to PO schedules and PO schedule level per unit is currently shown only in Edit Trade Operations UI à Material PO schedules region. ”
Use Case and Business Need
As per our understanding and experience, most users need to generate trade operation detail reports (Landed Cost Estimate Report/ Estimate Shipping Document) and estimate item cost detail reports (PO Value + Landed Cost details and summary reports) just after creating the trade operation for several purposes like to submit these reports to relevant authorities for legal and procurement requirements, to analyze total item cost, to do cost benefit analysis, etc. It is critical to obtain this information after creating the trade operation and there is no point waiting till after the invoice to obtain this data.
