Ability to Report on Future Approvers of Transactions in OTBI Subject Areas -

Description

Currently, OTBI subject areas that report on transactions have the ability to report on the historical state of the approval workflow of transactions which is great for auditing purposes. However, it does not allow us to view who future approvers are, With this included the entire workflow of the transaction can be reported on.

This would be very useful as it would allow us to set up reports for bursting and reminders to outstanding approvers so that all documents are approved in a timely manner.

Some of the subject areas that could use these reporting attributes are:

Procurement - Procure To Pay Real Time

Payables Invoices - Transaction Real Time

Procurement - Purchasing Real Time

Procurement - Requisitions Real Time

Supplier Profile Changes - Real Time

General Ledger - Journals Real Time

And any other subject areas that report on approvals

 

Use Case and Business Need

Need to burst out reports and reminders to users that have invoices/documents that are pending approval.

Attributes to report on pending approvals are not available in OTBI Subject Areas.

What a useful suggestion. Would also really help when validating workflow setup I imagine.

Yes this very much needed.Right now we cant find who will be next level approvers on each stages and we can see only those are pending for next one level.

This need to get stored in OTBI subject areas & also in back end tables which will be used for extracting the data through BIP
