We want to be able to run OTBI reports scheduled with agents with parameters that are based on SQL.

We want to run a scheduled OTBI report with an as-of date of SYSDATE + 30 days. We can do this by adding a parameter in the prefix of the advanced SQL tab. However, it is not possible to make an agent pass a parameter based on SQL.

I've opened a SR for this issue, but Oracle confirmed it is currently not possible to do this

Use Case and Business Need

The reason we want an as-of date in the future is because the report must include new hires, but not include expiring contracts. For this reason we cannot just set the date in the far future.

    SR 3-29069321931 : How to Schedule and select parameter values in Agent for Oracle Dashboard pages

    Currently Oracle OTBI Dashboard or Analysis type reports do not support to schedule report based on user preferred parameters, They can be scheduled with default parameters only.

    It is very basic business need to run and schedule such reports with different set of parameters to the external users. Oracle should consider this for next release implementation.
