Current state:
When assignment attributes such as Department, Job or Location are being changed after Performance Document was created, Workforce Performance subject areas in OTBI present the exact Department, Location or Job that the worker was in when the Performance Document was created, not the current value of department, job or location.
At the same time in HCM UI or "Workforce Management - Worker Assignment RT" subject area in OTBI user always sees latest attribute details such as department or job.
Desired state:
The aim is to be able to retrieve up to date Department/Job/Location information in OTBI analyses concerning Performance Documents, Ratings or Tasks - all subject areas related to Workforce Performance.
When user creates an analysis using "Workforce Performance - Performance Document Status RT", "Workforce Performance - Performance Rating RT" or "Workforce Performance - Performance Task Status RT", analysis should present the same assignment details as "Workforce Management - Worker Assignment RT".
Use Case and Business Need
This information discrepancy between HCM UI and Reporting and inconsistency between various subject areas in OTBI is causing a lot of confusion among users. Department, Job or Location are one of the crucial information in every Organisation and all our reporting is split by these assignment attributes.
We face a situation where employees change department but Performance Document report still shows the former department. When their new manager runs the Performance Document report for his/her department, he/she cannot see transferred employees, because assignment changes have not been reflected in Workforce Performance subject areas and report includes former department instead of the current one.
Having the data aligned between HCM UI, "Workforce Management - Worker Assignment RT" and "Workforce Performance" subject areas would allow users to quickly retrieve desired information based on up-to-date assignment details instead of being forced to look in HCM UI for Performance Document details of employees missing from the reporting.
