Standard Deduction Report is running for 19+ hours when run for one on-cycle check date when run under Excel reporting category (flow: abDeductionValidation_PerfTest).

We even tried creating custom text template and even that is taking similar time in non-PROD env. When this report was run for employer liabilities only for 8/20 check date even that run took over 8 hours (flow: PP 17 On-Cycle)

  

Use Case and Business Need (Required):

This is a massive client with over 250k employees and most of the reporting solution is expected to be based on Business Unit. Since most of the standard reports do not include Business Unit, hence it is a gap for client solution. Moreover, with payroll processing 100k+ employees during on-cycle run most of these post payroll reports contains multi-million records making it challenging for business users to review these massive reports. As an extension to existing PAR solution, the objective is to place this deduction data using text format into our external reporting system (OACS) for deduction report. But even standard deduction report with excel template is taking over 19 hours to process on one cycle data. We have to load last 8 months of deduction data into OACS system and load recurring runs as well, every week and hence it is not feasible for us to divide this run by deduction category (processing 8 (months)*6 (files per month) *6 (deduction categories) = 288 files) when even some of the categories are taking more than 8 hours.
