Enabling DFFs on Value Set Values in OTBI
Organization Name (Required - If you are an Oracle Partner, please provide the organization you are logging the idea on behalf of):
アクセンチュア株式会社
Description (Required):
We would like the Descriptive Flexfields (DFFs) on Value Set Values to be available in Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI).
Currently, the following DFF cannot actually be used in OTBI, even though BI Checkbox exists for it.
Module: Application Flexfields
Name: Value Set Values
Flexfield Code: FND_VS_VALUES_B
Use Case and Business Need (Required):
If the DFFs on Value Set Values could be made available in OTBI, it would be possible to narrow down the records from the vast number of accounts in more detail when outputting reports.
Enhancement Request / Service Request:
BI Checkbox for DFFs on Value Set Values was suggested in the following idea and has already been delivered.

We have the same need. Currently we have to create custom reports, when a DFF for the segments is needed.
This change would be very useful.

We have requirement to capture DFF attributes in COA values and use it for OTBI reporting.
This would be very useful, considering the fact that the COA Value attributes cannot be leveraged in Essbase.

This would be a useful ability for OTBI reporting.

Does anyone know how to make a DFF that has a valid LOV based on another field on the page - in this case the Project selected on POET distribution on Expense Report - where a DFF is also used to determine a segment on the GL string - in addition to POET designation?
We have done that part mentioned above - Project selection determines LOV for Unit DFF field, however, if user updates the project selection after having populated the Unit DFF field, even though the Unit selection was based on the LOV determined by the original Project selection, unless the Unit field is cleared out after changing to a new project selection, the Expense Report can be save with the originally selected Unit which is no longer valid since the originally selected project upon which the LOV for Unit was based has now been changed to a new project with a new LOV.
Anyone have any experience or solutions for this issue?
