unable to login to xmlpserver

Hi, working with Oracle BI 12c.

I've changed the security model of Oracle Analytics at the xmlpserver page to "BI Server Security" because I did not see the "create role" button.

Then I've restarted the bi and now I can't connect to Oracle Analytics Page.

Can anyone help me with this issue ? can I reset the security model anywhere on the server ?

I remember that it was possible to switch the security model back to "Oracle Fusion Middleware" in the config file, there was a MOS note about it.

You can try by stopping everything, look for the config file (it could be named xmlp-server-config.xml), and there inside find the <property name="SECURITY_MODEL" tag and set the value to ORACLE_AS_JPS.

Cross your fingers and start everything, you should be back to where you were before to do the change of security model.

What version of OBIEE 12c? Is this a full OBIEE install, right (not just BI Publisher)? It is a new install or an environment that was already running for a while?

When you say "I can't connect to Oracle Analytics Page", what page you can't connect to? /analytics or /xmlpserver ?

What kind of security do you want to use? When you say you couldn't see the create role button, you mean the application roles coming from EM? The unified security model that you get when using the "Oracle Fusion Middleware" security model in BIP?

I've no experience with BI until now.

We've only installed BI Publisher 12c and it is a new installation but developers have already developed some reports.

We plan to convert all of our Oracle Reports to BI.

I was connected to xmlpserver and I wanted to create some roles but I have'nt had a "create role" button as described in the docs. After googeling a little bit I found a page which described how to change the security model to get the "create role" button. but after changing the secure model from "Oracle Fusion Middleware" to "BI Server Security" I'm no longer able to login to xmlpserver with any account.
