Hidden worksheet XDO_METADATA appearing in the final output

We have a report that is created using an Excel Template. The third party system we are uploading the report into is complaining about a hidden worksheet.

I found this in the documentation:-

"Hide the XDO_METADATA Sheet

Oracle recommends that you hide the XDO_METADATA sheet before uploading the completed template to the Publisher catalog to prevent its inclusion in the final report output. Use the Excel Hide command to hide the sheet before uploading the template to the server."

I've followed the instructions and hidden the XDO_METADATA sheet before uploading the completed template to the Publisher catalog, but its still appearing in the final published report. Does anyone know if it's possible to create an Excel spreadsheet from a template without this hidden sheet showing up? Any help would be more than welcome..

The XDO_METADATA sheet cannot be removed, it can only be hidden in the output Excel file.
