Difference between data Augmentation and semantic model extension in FAW
I am learning FAW and have some doubts around data augmentation and semantic model extension. As per my understanding data augmentation is used to bring additional attributes/DFF from existing subject area but we can not create new subject areas.
in Sematic model extension, we can bring the data from any source but it always use the ADW data and we can create new subject areas and later used for analytics purpose with existing one.
Kindly share your views and let me know if above understanding is correct or not.

Semantic Model is only for data modeling (RPD) i.e. metadata layer on which reporting runs .
You can refer to our extensibility case study
