CSV Extract for Custom Report

Hi,

I am looking to do a full csv extract from a custom report from within OTBI.

I know this is possible with built in reports using scheduled jobs and generating a data file.

Any advice is appreciated.

Hi,

Actually no it is only possible to view as CSV, in your custom report or one of the pre-defined reports, if the designer of the report selected output format data "CSV" on your selected layout for that run. You can view the output as CSV whether or not you run the report yourself like from a dashboard page or from the catalog or whether you run it as a scheduled report job in OTBI or as an enterprise scheduled process job - it makes no difference how you consume it.

In the report editor you need to select "View a List" then select the layout row

then select one or more "Output Formats". Scroll to the bottom for the 2 Data ones XML and CSV.
