Hello,

I have a client who wants to customize the OBIEE log in screen to add an i-frame which will link to their Active Directory for password changing purposes.

Are the any issues with doing this by following the advice as detailed in; -

http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi/customizing-oracle-biee-11g-176387.pdf

My OBIEE version is 11.1.1.9

Many thanks,

Robert.

Just that the white paper was written for 11.1.1.3 and that 11.1.1.9 behaves a tad differently in some aspects. But unless you do it you won't know...it's in any case not a pure "Follow step 1-6 and you will be done" thing. It's an actual application extension.

    Thanks for your input!

Is there anything that documents the degree of 'slightly differently' and do you know of anything that addresses my requirement as the document only discusses look and feel, javascript / iframe is without mention.

    Thanks again,

    Robert.

The reason I ask on documentation is when I am trying to follow the advice in the original to deploy the 'analyticsRes' directory I am not finding the described path under BiFoundation; -

"In the Install Application Assistant dialog, provide the path

    ORACLE_INSTANCE/bifoundation/OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent/coreapplication_obips1

This gives the user an option to select analyticsRes as a valid application to deploy"

Here I see the following directories, but not OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent (and when I do find OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent under a different directory it does not contain the analyticsRes alluded to)

admin, bicontentserver, cloudlib, cloudlibs, exalytics, install, javahost, jdbc, jee, jlib, mt, odbc, security, server, update, web

Anyone point me in the right direction on this??

The changes were in between 11.1.1.7 and 11.1.1.9 so you'll find them in the 11.1.1.9 documentation.
