Is BI Scheduler Service on 10g required to be running for OBIEE 10g to 11g Upgrade process

Hi,

We are in a process of upgrading Siebel Analytics 7.7.x to OBIEE 11.1.1.9.0

As per the upgrade document, we upgraded from SA 7.7.x to OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 successfully (ie RPD and webcat upgraded without issues). However BI Scheduler Service is not coming up on our 10g environment.

The error is as follows :

[68008] Scheduler Error: [nQSError: 67042] The Scheduler Configuration is incorrect.

     [nQSError: 67004] Registry value for SchedulerScriptPath not set.

We found many blogs on this and tried the steps mentioned. However its still not working.

My question is : Is BI Scheduler Service on 10g required to be running for OBIEE 10g to 11g Upgrade process or we can proceed with the OBIEE 11g installation (on same server) and subsequent upgrade steps ?

Does anybody see any issue in BI scheduler not working in 11g environment since it was not working in 10g ? Since the 10g environment is only a intermediate step towards the final step ?

Please help on this !
