Data Variance in Configurable Account Analysis

Has anyone seen data variances in Account Analysis?

I am attempting to reconcile my Configurable Account Analysis to my GL Balances and Detail transaction subject area. I continue to see variances at a high level and detail level when comparing the debits/credits.

The only Subledger I am extending is Payables and that is the only Journal Source I am seeing the variance in.

Has any on else experienced variances and data missing in CAA?

  • Hi @Conor Murnane

Thank you for visiting and posting in Fusion Analytics Warehouse(FAW) Product Community Page.

The cause of the issue is related to limitation of the Debit and Credit Balance column width.

    1. The Debit and Credit Balance values are not matching because the numbers are very big and it cannot fit in the column width of FAW fields.
    2. This is a known limitation which is documented in the below document.

  • Update on this post. I believe this is a bug I found in FAW.

In our situation we have posted a journal line with an associated Invoice. The Invoice was later cancelled and a new journal line was created to offset the cancelled invoice. So we have 2 Journal lines for this transaction.

However, when the CAA is created it does not pick up the Journal Line with the cancelled Invoice even though it was accounted for. The only detail that comes through in CAA is the offset of the cancelled invoice. This behavior is what makes it impossible to reconcile the CAA to your Journal Lines.

    Hi @Conor Murnane

I would request you to create a SR for further troubleshooting.

    Thanks
