Excel Exports - Large Amounts of Data - Non csv

The current guidance in New Features and Recommendations for Working with Microsoft Office™ - OBIEE 11.1.1.7 - 1558070.1 states :
PERFORMANCE GUIDELINES FOR EXPORT OF DATA
o Exports for large data sets are most efficient when using .CSV export format. This is due to not requiring the overhead to convert format content to the Microsoft Excel format.
o Exports to .CSV should be used for data sets of >100K rows of data.
o Do not use Excel formats for data sets larger than 100K rows of data.
o Exports of >500K rows of data should only use BI Publisher capabilities.
Whilst we agree, our user has the requirement to export adhoc using Excel. This exceeds the rows list above based on the size of our system. They do not wish to use csv as formatting is lost. Please consider allowing adhoc export to exceed the limits described above.
