Reusing/Calling Value from DataSet 1 from Excel File to Dataset 2 SQL

Hi,

I'm currently trying to develop a report where the users is uploading an Excel file which has pre-defined values populated which will be used to create a HDL file.

I'm wondering if there is a way to call the value from the uploaded excel file from Dataset 1 to be used in Dataset 2 (SQL)

For example: Dataset 1 has the field BatchName from the excel file which I want to reference in Dataset 2 which I have written SQL to find other fields in the system.

@YewWan - As of now there is no such option, but since we already can use multiple files in a single dataset and model together. What would be the use case where we need such option? Thanks.

Hi,

Do you mind saying what product name and version you are using and which "piece" of the product you are asking about?

Just to know if you are asking for "classic", DV or Publisher. Or maybe you are asking about a different product that isn't covered in this forum, but we could point you to the right place.
