Yesterday, we implemented a preview feature called Project Labor Distribution midway through the day. As soon as this areas activation completed, we lost use of several general ledger subject areas such as GL Balance Sheet. Reports with GL Balance Sheet showed 'No Data' rather than the visuals, and several GL segments such as Third Balancing Segment, Activity, and Purpose were completely empty.
Fortunately, after the daily refresh ran overnight, the data came back this morning. This issue yesterday caused a lot of confusion and slowed us down on projects we were working on. So in the future we will only run these processes after the workday is over! We highly recommend anyone else take the same approach. This should be added to the documentation on preview features as well to prevent others from making the same mistakes we did.
