    I have been able install it now by having the database and the application on the same server as a work around.

    hmm.. sounds like firewall, or the shared server issue.

    I guess we can close this thread now.

    My Understanding that with DB in same Box as OAS All working fine so most probably you need to engage your network Admin with DBA to verify the connection establishment

    I got the same error: "…. ORACLE oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver jdbc:oracle:thin:@//ip:port/SID BIDEV jdbc:oracle:thin:@//ip:port/SID failed with exit value 1 ….."

    My problem was: "…MDS-00515: failure to create document /model/Domain in the metadata repositoryjava.sql.SQLException: ORA-01658: unable to create INITIAL extent for segment in tablespace OAS…"

    So the problem was "can not extend tablespace". It's been solved.
