Dataflow sharing functionality issue in OAS 7.6

We're experiencing an unusual issue with dataflow sharing in OAS 7.6. While testing the newly introduced dataflow sharing functionality, we found that when a user with full read/write access to a dataflow (owned by someone else) tries to remove the owner's permissions via the inspect option and saves the changes, the owner's name still appears in the permissions list upon returning to it.

Interestingly, the owner no longer sees the dataflow and their access has indeed been removed, yet the inspecting user still sees the owner listed as having access. This creates a problem: when the inspecting user attempts to re-grant access to the owner, they are unable to do so because the owner is still shown as having permissions.

I am also attaching the screen recording of this above issue. Any insights into this would be greatly appreciated.

  • The right way to change ownership of an object would be to do this via console>content management>change ownership option. Have you tried this instead of revoking permissions for the owner via inspect?

@Dhaval Parikh Stantec - Users who you share data flows or sequences with can't subsequently re-share them with other users, because they don't have the full-control privileges required to share artifacts. In this scenario, you have to manually give users or roles read and write access to input datasets using the Access tab on the Inspect dialog for a dataset.

Once that's done validate and see if the actual owner is able to access or see the data flow from his account.

For owner name still seen in Inspect, kindly create an SR so that we can investigate further. Thank you!
