Timeout warnings for use with screen readers

Timeout warnings do not warn users with screen readers. This will mean that the user will not be able to extend or cancel the timeout. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.2.6 (Timeouts).
Important messages and pop up boxes are not picked up or not read correctly by screen readers. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 4.1.3 (Status Messages).
