Legacy FDI Dashboards used with the legacy AppShell will be removed
Please find below an important announcement.
11/1/2024 - Additional details added:
11/26/24 - After a minor delay this release is now rolling out across the fleet. For CX and HCM customers, this change will now be seen.
Overview
There are two copies of Detail Dashboards in your Fusion Data Intelligence catalog; and one copy will be removed soon. The business content is exactly the same informationally in both versions. The legacy version, however, is optimized for the now-defunct AppShell, while the other one is actively maintained and works with current application architecture.
We plan to remove the AppShell “Legacy” versions as they are redundant and not being maintained. We have not yet deprecated these due to an ongoing low level of usage, but as the AppShell was deprecated almost a year ago the time has come.
Some customers have multiple FDI products. As ongoing usage differs we have two dates to track.
- For customers with Fusion CX Analytics and/or Fusion HCM Analytics, legacy Dashboards will go away on 11/13/24.
- For customers with Fusion ERP Analytics and/or Fusion SCM Analytics, those legacy Dashboards will go away on 2/12/25.
Legacy Dashboards are located in the root of your catalog hierarchy. These folders and their contents are going away.
- /Shared Folders/Oracle/Fusion CX/<here>
- /Shared Folders/Oracle/Fusion ERP/<here>
- /Shared Folders/Oracle/Fusion HCM/<here>
- /Shared Folders/Oracle/Fusion SCM/<here>
The maintained dashboards are in the “Detail Dashboards” folders. These folders and their contents will be kept.
- /Shared Folders/Oracle/Fusion CX/Detail Dashboards/<here>
- /Shared Folders/Oracle/Fusion ERP/Detail Dashboards/<here>
- /Shared Folders/Oracle/Fusion HCM/Detail Dashboards/<here>
- /Shared Folders/Oracle/Fusion SCM/Detail Dashboards/<here>
Please see the images and text below* for a detailed enumeration of all folders that will be removed and kept.
Folders that will be removed and kept on 11/13/24
Folders that will be removed and kept on 2/12/25
Actions
In anticipation of this action we’d suggest that you instruct users to use the maintained dashboards in the “Detail Dashboards” folder. If legacy dashboards are being used as drilldowns from other Workbooks you can re-point that navigation. A useful approach could also be to remove permissions from the legacy content prior to the deprecation date as a trial-run to identify usage.
Please see this Customer Forum posting for more information or to ask questions. It will be monitored.
Thank you.

Hi David, I have a customer on FDI HCM and they still see the legacy dashboards and they are questioning if the dates have changed as it's been about a full week since the 11/13 date for deprecation of the HCM legacy dashboards… any idea on when this will happen for FDI HCM customers?

This release was unfortunately delayed but actually starts rolling out today (11/26/24) @OAwiz-Oracle. As it rolls out across the fleet those HCM legacy dashboards (and the CX ones, for the record), will be disappearing.

Thank you David, yes, was able to see them deprecated with the 24.R4 release.
