Summary:

OTBI report using Posting Date can be displayed in Sydney timezone but when it is used in a calculation in Edit Column Formula, it reverts back to UTC timezone. Is there a way to retain Sydney timezone in formula.

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

Given there is 11 hour time difference from UTC timezone to Sydney timezone, 2nd Feb 2024 only starts at 11:00 am rather than 00:01am. Any GL posting date occuring on 2/2/24 prior to 11am is actually held in the database as 1/2/24 which is incorrect. Can you please help advise how this can be fixed?

  • Hi Jennifer-Leung,

    Please check the following :
Navigator > Setup & Maintenance > Manage Administrator Profile Options > ZCA_COMMON_CALENDAR > Please share the screenshots
Navigator > Setup & Maintenance > Manage Accounting Calendars > Edit the calendar and check for the year > If the Year is not equal to current year> Add Year upto current year i.e., 2024 or 2025 and Save and close.

Can you please confirm the values of the following in BI as Admin user
Login to application --> Username --> Set preferences --> Regional --> TimeZone --> Check what is the value set (attach the screenshots of the same)
Login to BI --> username --> Myaccount --> General Preferences --> Timezone --> Should be greyed out and should show the same value as in application (attach the screenshots of the same)
Login to BI --> username --> Myaccount --> BI Preferences --> Timezone --> Should show the same value as in application > (attach the screenshots of the same)

If all the above are not same, please set it to the same value and run the Scheduled process "Refresh Denormalised Time Dimension Table for BI"

Login to application --> Navigator --> Scheduled Process --> Dropdown --> search --> Refresh Denormalised Time Dimension Table for BI" --> OK --> Submit.
Wait until success, then logout and clear your browser cache, re-login and retest the flow.

    Thanks,
    Dimple N

  • Hi Jennifer-Leung,

Then can you please check these two tasks:
Navigator > Setup & Maintenance > Manage Calendar Profile Option > Check for the Calendar setup @ SITE level
now navigate to Accounting Calendars and make sure the Calendar is Upto date showing Current year

Navigator > Setup & Maintenance > Manage Accounting Calendars > Edit and make sure Year seen is equal to current year and beyond

Check and let me know if that helps

    Thanks,
    Dimple N

    Hi Jennifer-Leung,

From the screenshots I see the Calendar SET UP @ SITE Level is blank, can you add NSWH Calendar @ SITE level and rerun the Refresh ESS job and test the flow?
Steps 1 : Navigator → Setup & Maintenance → Manage Calendar Profile Option → From the drop down select NSWH Calendar → Save → Save and Close
Step 2: Navigator → Scheduled Process → Drop down → search → Refresh Denormalised Time Dimension Table for BI" → OK → Submit.
Wait until success, then logout and clear your browser cache, re-login and retest the flow.
    Let me know the results.

    Thanks,
    Dimple N
