BI publisher reports using Custom Subject Area objects show Slow Perfomance

Summary:

Hi, we defined several custom objects in our sandbox and created Custom subject areas to develop reports by using fusion bi publisher

In general, reports are working fine but we are having issues because those reports takes till 10 seconds to give us output, however data volumen is very small

I would appreciate advices about this perfomance problem

I did not receive any answer about my issue. In SR, consultant wrote that this database , per se, is slow

Did the SR consultant advise why this is so? Or if there is any documentation support for this? Does it mean that that the custom SA's will always have a low performance?
