How restrict custom BI report data based on flexfield segment value
Hi All,
We want to restrict custom BI report data based on users department which is maintained using second segment of accounting flexfild.
Is there any way to restrict data based on flexfield segments?
For ex:
We are segregating department data based on our second segment of general ledger flexfeild.
01-301-15101-00000-00000 - 301 - IT Dept
01-401-11100-00000-00000 - 401 - PO Dept
When a user of 301 department runs, report should not include any data for 401 segment.
Thanks,
Venkatesan R

Hi @Venkatesan
If you are creating an BI report , refer below security option to restrict the data.

Hi Venkat,
If the security is implemented in UI, then you can use secure views. Using secured views will restrict data as per the data roles in application.
If the requirement is to implement security only in report, then you need to write a custom security criteria at report query level.
Thanks.

But its not clear how we can achieve this in Fusion (Saas (24D)).
If possible, can you plz give more details on this.
Thanks,

I am not aware of any secured views for ERP/SCM. But user department should be from based on HCM data, no?
If no, then you need to put a custom security crtieria.
Thanks.
