Ability to have the Display name in OSC available in the data set in FDI

Self-service analytics in FDI if one of the key features we would like to use in the future. The ability to quickly access data and being able to create the reports needed are key for us, however, we are currently struggling to use this as the terminology and the name of the fields used in the data set in FDI is complicated and not understandable by the users.
We will be able to use the self-service analytics only if we have the ability to display the fields name the same way they are displayed in OSC (use the OSC Display name) and have this done automatically.

Hi @Mernisa
Can you elaborate with an example ?

Hi Krishna,
there are few easy examples like Sold to Customer which is the filed available in the data set in FDI, while in OSC this is called simply "Account" and this is what the users can see in OSC. Another example, Opportunity Revenue Line Expected Close Date, this is the Revenue Start Date.
While some of this can be intuitive, others are more complicated and not all the users will be ablet to understand them, make them difficult to use the self service tool and create their own workbooks and visualizations.

I agree with this. Even if we can get a tooltip in FDI on each column that explains the lineage by saying what the OTBI column name is.
