Is there any plan to make web-based OAC Semantic Modeler available in FDI?
We are considering to use Application Merge functionality in FDI HCM to model some complex use cases on external data through OAC semantic layer, while keeping the possibility to reuse FDI HCM conformed dimensions. The documentation, demos and initial tests assume to use BI Admin Tool to develop the model, will the web-based Semantic Modeler be available in the future as part of FDI? This would simplify a lot the dev environment architecture

This is an excellent idea for an enhancement! I kindly encourage you to file it in our Ideas Lab so that our Product Management team can review and consider it. Thanks!

I haven't found any filed Ideas or Enhancement Requests regarding this feature. Please file one with a valid business justification for our Product Management team to review and consider.
Currently, converting an Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) semantic model developed in the web UI to an RPD is straightforward. The platform offers an option to export the file as an .rpd.
Please refer the below documentation for more details:

Thank you. My point is not converting a semantic model developed in web UI to and RPD, it's rather using a web-based tool rather than a client-based tool for the FDI Application Merge functionality - which is more aligned to a cloud platform
