DFF fetching only code in OTBI

We have many DFFs configured in HCM. On front end HCM, we can see the full description eg for local job title, but in OTBI the field only returns the job code. Is there any way to get the description in OTBI itself instead of having to switch to BIP? The codes are meaningless on reports.
BI is enabled for these fields

You should see two attributes one with Description. Try to use the description column.
Thanks.

Thanks Mandeep, but there is only one column. For some other fields, I can see code, description and translation columns but for these, it's just one field in that folder/subject area. Any other way to know if it is stored elsewhere or named something else entirely?

Hi @Swapna Govind,
If you have not checked already, can you please check if it is BI Enabled and it's on Deployed Status?
Also have you executed the BI Extender ESS Job?
Cheers,

Can you please share some more details on the subject area name, DFF name , attribute name and type of value set attached? Is the attached value set of type table?
Thanks.

When we try to run the Create Rules XML File for BI Extender Automation job, it asked for a parameter Essbase application. Not sure what this is. @Bhaskar Konar

@MandeepGupta This is from the Workforce management "Worker Assignment real time" subject area. The name is Assignment attributes and attribute name is local job title. Value set is a table

Need to Select the Essbase Application that you have.
Ideally after the changes/additions for some DFFs/KFFs, here's the sequence for the said ESS jobs:
- Create Rules XML File for BI Extender Automation
- Import Oracle Fusion Data Extensions for Transactional Business Intelligence
In your TEST / DEV ENVs if possible only try to execute the second job with HCM Only (as your DFF is for HCM) to test if that makes any betterment.

@Bhaskar Konar Thankyou, we have tried running the second job earlier too and it did not change anything.
I am afraid I am quite new to this and have only been trying to investigate this from reporting perspective. When I reached out to IT regarding the first job, they were not aware of any Essbase applications so we could not run the job. Not sure if we are looking at this issue the wrong way.

Hi @Swapna Govind,
Thanks for the details.
Do you have Finance / ERP with your HCM Application or is it standalone 'HCM'?
The process I was mentioning that needed to be followed as per Oracle's doc if there's any issue with DFF not available within OTBI SAs or if we want to enable any DFF for OTBI. Please take a look into the Oracle document that I previously shared. It is the Oracle provided steps.
If you have only HCM then please check with Oracle Support that how will you execute the first job.
If you have Finance too then this Essbase Cubes are within Finance itself.
@MandeepGupta, Do you have any suggestions please?
Thank You!
