OAS2023 - Dataset Monitoring (Ad-hoc / Manual Reload)
Hi Team,
In Oracle Analytics Server v2023, Jobs tab under navigation is very useful for the dataset schedule monitoring for the large enterprises having much dataset.
Can we have a sub tab or a separate tab to monitor the manual/ad-hoc reloads of the dataset. Tab could provide the live status or history of the datasets reload executed with the fields as Dataset Name, Dataset Object Name, User who submitted the reload, Start & End Time and Status.

Is this feature planned in upcoming release ?

This isn’t currently planned for an upcoming release, but it’s a great suggestion — especially for customers managing a high volume of datasets manually. If you're able to share a bit more about how you're currently handling manual reloads or any challenges you're facing, that would be really helpful. @Kartik Mali-Oracle

Hi @GabriellePrichard-Oracle ,
In Oracle LSC, we have customers who rely on datasets to generate reports, which leads to heavy usage of dataset configurations and manual reloads. To track reloads and execution status, we currently read data from the product metadata tables (Biplatform) in OAS. However, with a future upgrade to OAC, this approach will no longer be possible since the metadata schema is restricted there.
Having a dedicated tab that provides the status and details of manual dataset reload jobs would be the best solution, and it would be helpful for both Oracle Analytics versions.
