I would like to connect a series of large (multi-tab) excel files saved in a SharePoint folder to an existing Data Flow (to perform various analytics against dashboard data located in FDI subject areas and connections).

A straightforward way to connect this SharePoint data, establish weekly refreshes, and efficiently train business users to set up these connections would enhance productivity greatly.

The Oracle docs link below appears to point towards a potential starting point, and I am curious if this can be extended to meet FDI Analytics Dashboard needs.

I was running into the same problem. The way we are solving for this is to stop using excel spreadsheets for data storage. We configured our APEX and moved all the data to interactive tables. Then, as soon as the data is updated, it's stored in the database. Then all you need to do is refresh your report page and your data is now in the report.

My company is on a mission to convert all "offline" related data to store in a database for better data governance.

@Branden Pavol this sounds like a great option; we aspire to remove the same "offline" data storage barriers. It will be an iterative journey for the larger, foundational excel files but hopefully many leverageable insights along the way.
