Why is Employee BU not indexed in PFM subject areas?

For most reports, the Project Business Unit is an important filter condition and that works very well with most subject areas provided within the PFM module. However, there are reports that require filtering by the Employee Business Unit and not the Project BU. Consider US as a BU and Mexico as another BU. For tracking all activity within the US BU (Project BU), reports perform reasonably. However, you may have a Mexican employee working on a US project. While the Project BU is the US, in this case, the Employee BU is Mexico. The Mexican management would like to know the number of hours spent by Mexican employees in US projects. A report for this is possible as there are Employee sections within the subject areas of Cost and Revenue. However, they run awfully slow and there are several occasions when it times out. It appears that the Employee BU is not indexed. Is there a solution for this?

Is there a workaround for this problem? A few reports are getting timed out as Employee BU is not indexed. Even when you run a report of trying to get timecard data for 2 months for one employee, it times out.

Hi @ravinat,
Can you please share your report xml / catalog so that we'll try to replicate the issue in our instances to see if there is any workaround possible?
Thank you.
